I do agree with hemp use in industrial practices, but I also am very cautious, just like marijuana, hemp can quickly out grow and crowd out native fauna, and it doesn't have effective natural predators. Unless grown in a contained environment, it could be a risk.

Actually; sorry to say you're wrong. Many MANY animals, including common deer have been known to consume Cannabis.

Consume is a broad term, not smoke, not recreational use.  Also, just because they do doesn't mean it's "okay", common deer regularly poison themselves by consuming poison ivy and other poisonous plants, they aren't a shining example of intelligence.

Well of course deer don't smoke cannabis; but studies show that it is for 'recreational use' as they do seem to get a similar effect. Also; before you go around spouting nonsense that Cannabis 'is poison' and 'isn't ok' I think you should do a little more research on the subject. :P

The biggest difference between eating poison ivy and other poisonous plants, and cannabis; is that cannabis can't poison you. :)

I have done my research, and the majority of the real medical community regard THC as a mild form of acid. All of which a detrimental side-effects (both long term and short term) on the brain and respiratory system. Not to mentions the inhalation of any hot vapor/gases is well known not to be good for both systems.

While it's not as bad as other drugs, it's definitely not harmless as everyone wants to believe. I hold alcohol in the same regards.

I'm not talking about inhalation; if you factor that out it is positive; and whomever the 'real medical community' you think is; you are very clearly wrong. I advise you to look other places then 'FOX NEWS'

I do not trust Fox News as news source. I'm talking about real medical journals, like "American Journal of Public Health", "Current Medical Research and Opinion" , and "Psychopharmacology".
I have many others, and I have written research papers on the subject. Rather than referring to the scrawlings on bathroom stalls and word of mouth, actual empirical research  prompts the best results.

Right; you're talking about the Doctors whom are paid by the Pharmaceutical companies; typical. I just hope that when you develop Cancer you'll have the opportunity to cure yourself even despite your cynicism.

Ummm, still not convinced that hemp and marijuana are not the same. Anything with that pattern is bad to me. But, here are two questions: what does the SO2 stand for? And could it make a biodegradable clothing and other products? What is your opinion?

SO2 is sulfurdioxide, very toxic shit. hemp has more than 50000 possible ways to be used... its possible for anything
and...hemp and marijuana are quite the same, the difference is this.

you smoke the buds of a female plant, not the plant itself, if you cut of the buds you have hemp, and you wanna be safe for real? take male plants then... no buds

It sucks that the USA is one of the few larger powers that doesn't commercially grow it... even though we could get bio-fuel from it!!! which we need, because at nearly 5bucks a gallon... i think its time.

I ask because I use a hemp shampoo.

Here's an interesting site you'll like to hear about hemp in Japan.

[link]

As you can see, it's only illegal there because of the US military passing a law criminalizing it in around 1948.

Nice info! Now DuPont manufactures deadly chemicals instead! But don't worry, your government cares about your health and that of the environment more than any niggling little details like profit. :-P
